I am so proud of my mom! Look at this wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous little ring she made!
Mom decided to follow along with my Absolute Beginner Tatting Lessons, and try her hand at learning to tat. Though I’ve been tatting for 12 years, she has never picked up a shuttle except to move mine from the couch.
Now, from a thousand miles away, I’m teaching my mom to tat. Imagine that. And it’s working. She created this little ring all by herself, and managed to make all the double stitches correctly, and transfer every knot just right, and close the ring! I’m beaming with pride!
Keep it up, Mom, and happy tatting!
Fantastic – Congrats to your mom!
And no wonder . . . your lessons are so very good 🙂 I enjoy reading your instructions – you make things so clear.

Yeah Mom!!! Your tutorials are easy to follow. Even us Moms can learn!

I met your mom when she went to get her supplies for tatting. She came up just as I was asking the salesclerk all about tatting. I was trying to determine if it was what I tho’t it was and if I wanted to learn how to do it.
It was thru your mom that I found this website. I haven’t started yet, but I will now. The synchronicity was amazing.
Christine, my mom told me about meeting you at BFs. A very happy coincidence! I’m glad you found my blog, and hope you try tatting. Definitely keep me posted on your progress.
I hope you will enjoy tatting as much as I do. It is my first love for handcraft, and I do enjoy a lot of different ones. Sincerely, Jane Ray
