What would you do with a huge pile ‘o thread? What would you tat? How much could you make? Most tatters have a list, and mine is about as long as my arm (and torso, and it’s running down my leg and trailing on the ground).
Well, you’re in luck today, because Tatting Corner is generously giving away a huge pile of 13 balls of Lizbeth thread!
That’s a baker’s dozen. You know, for the holiday baking season. Okay, bad joke, but a great prize!
Lizbeth thread is outstanding for tatting, 100% Egyptian cotton 6-cord cordonnet thread. It now comes in 150 shiny, rich, vibrant colors. The thread is super-combed and gas-singed for outstanding body, mercerized, color fast and uniform throughout.
What colors will you get? One lucky winner will get an assortment of 13 balls of thread—Tatting Corner will pick the colors (not necessarily the ones in the photo) and YOU get to pick what size you want. Do you want size 10 or 20 or 40 or 80? Or some of each to try them out? (Remember, the bigger the number the smaller the thread.)
How can you win? You need to enter the giveaway to get a chance at the fun part—all that thread.
Here are eight ways you can enter to win:
Please leave a separate comment for each entry.
1. Visit Tatting Corner and browse their many selections. Leave a comment here about what project you would make first with your prize thread. You must leave a valid email address so I can contact you if you win. It won’t be visible to anyone but me if you enter it into the comment form.
2. Tweet about this giveaway. Tweet every day for more chances to win. Feel free to copy and paste this tweet:

Oh! Tatting Corner has the Dymondwood Shuttles that I love here:http://tattingcorner.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=4575
but they don’t say what size and I know there are two sizes. I like the bigger size and the price looks like that is what it would be so I might contact them and order one.

I would love to attempt the beautiful fan on the cover of The Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito. The book has been on my wish list for months.
I would love to win the “bakers dozen” as I have lots of projects I plan to tat. I think the first one will be the cluny cross pattern that I designed myself. It’s still on paper as of now, but I hope to get to it right after the Holidays. (Too many other things need my attention at this busy time of the year.)

#7 Just signed up. Thanks for this opportunity to win such a lovely Christmas present!
I am also in for #2.
#1. Probably more snowflakes, and then I want to try creating a set of covered ball ornaments, then Valentine hearts, and then…so goes the mile long list!
Ok number 7 as well. I love lizbeth thread and it is so hard to find good threads here.
#5 Have been for a while now!
This is just the correct email address for me…apparently I can’t type!
Ok, I’m starting to feel a little desperate, but number 5 too.
My want to tat list is too long already, but new thread is always welcome. I have some pendant that I’ve been wanting to try tatting in a smaller size, so I would probably start with those.
#1 If I won, I would love to make my little sister a doily or handkerchief as a gift for being my bridesmaid. Thank you for the giveaway!

What a wonderful selection! Oh how I love Lizbeth threads. I usually use the size 20. I can imagine just about everything and anything to make with them. Probably leaning toward a nice tatted necklace.

To be honest, I would probably make a doily first, though I’d like to try making one more of my own design rather than from a pattern. I’d use size 40, but maybe I’d get some size 80 and try making earrings, which I’ve never done!
I just tweeted your giveaway, as user shatteredshards.

The first thing I would make….well,I’d take their Lily of the Vally hanky and do an edging with the cute mushroom-like pattern from Tatting from Burda. I’d use a variegated thread that had longer spacing between colors. Perhaps in the color realm of purples. ^_^
I would make bookmarks, snowflakes, and practice some SCMR patterns.
What a wonderful give a way. Please count me in!
This is a nice selection! I would tat an old Workbasket pattern, tatted lariat; then, a doily.
Wow, what fun!
Thanks for the chance.
I checked out Tatting Corner’s site, they have some great deals going on!
What would I tat? Probably a bunch of snowflakes for starters. I’d love to cover some balls or eggs with tatting. There are a number of doilies I’d like to try too. Thanks for hosting this giveaway.
#1: I’d tat something from Motifs for Marie by Kaye Judt. The motifs are round and pretty! If free time were my best friend, I’d attempt one of Monica Hahn’s tatted Christmas Angels – from her Christmas Angel book (and other tatting patterns).
-My order number is 31283
#1 – I’d tat something from K.Judt Motifs for Marie – I like the round motifs on the cover.
I’m subscribed to the RSS. (P.S. I agree it’s a bad joke but a wonderful prize.)
1. I’ve been to the shop. Please count me in for the drawing. I have a Myrtle Hamilton heart pattern I would like to make with it. (tried to post comment a few minutes ago, but don’t think that attempt worked)
Have I mentioned I added it to my blog sidebar? I can’t find the comment, sorry if it is a duplicate one…
Great, thanks for the mention.
I mentioned it at Georgia’s on-line tatting class chat, not sure how to get a link to that for you to see.
#7. What a great site. Thanks for the heads up,
7. I’ve just subscribed to the newletter as well.
Wish me luck!
OOH! I’d love to start making some Valentine’s Day stuff with the Red Burst thread. Or find something (ANYTHING!) to make out of Grape Pizazz. I love those colors.
Or get a jump on next year and start making some snowflakes.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I have subscribed for the email. Wow! 13 more balls of Lizbeth to add to my supplies would be wonderful. Karen

I would open “Tatting With Visual Patterns” by Mary Konior and make a bracelet from Curds and Whey with beads and then make more of her patterns. I’d try the #40 thread in Iris’s Azzurra earring pattern. Karen

Ahh! I can’t even think of what I’d tat first… LOL. I think I’d just grab a book, open to a random pattern, and force myself to make whatever it happened to open to! One thing for sure: It’d be used in my new venture into shuttle tatting! 🙂 I love my needles, but I’m absolutely loving working with the shuttle now! *Stop Rambling, Stephanie!* Okay, okay… First thing that I wold tat would be a pattern that I have not done before, one of the ones that I’ve always been afraid to attempt –just to get over my fears! 🙂
